Our Story
A Legacy of Quality Education
Gakurwe Girls Senior School is an ACK SPONSORED SCHOOL and opened its doors in 1978 as a community school with the sole objective of offering learning opportunities to Kenyan children. It is a C3 girls boarding school in Kiharu Constituency, Murang’a East within Murang’a County
The school is located 22 kilometers from Murang’a town along the Murang’a – Kiria-ini road. It is near Gakurwe shopping centre neighboring Gakurwe primary school and the A.C.K St. John Church.
The school now boasts of tremendous growth in student population sometimes exceeding 400 students. Additionally, there has been a significant infrastructural development including three science laboratories, a modern dining hall cum multi-purpose hall, computer lab and home science workshop.
